Pixar's John Lassiter

Once fired by Disney Studios in 1983, John Lasseter's incredible success with Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Bob Iger's no brainer decision to hire Lasseter has propelled Disney back to its roots of making clean, full-length animated features that reconnect the entire family. Look for Cars to open this summer.

COOs

The May HBR issue describes the delicate balance between the CEO and the number two person, the COO; there are seven types of COOs: the executor, the change agent, the mentor, the other half, the partner, the heir apparent, and the MVP. The COO owes the CEO true respect while the CEO owes the COO communication, clear decision rights, a lock on the back door, and a shared spotlight.
