PepsiCo has the most diverse team of top leaders. Indra Nooyi, 49 is president and CEO; she has engineered bilions of dollars in acquisition deals; her team consists of: Lionel L. Nowell, III, 50, treasurer, Salvador Alva, 54 president of PepsiCo International, Rocco D. Papalia, 44 R&D chief, Antonio J. Lucio, 45, SVP of insights and innovation, and Larry Thompson, 59, general counsel (Fortune, August, 2005).

Rick Wagoner,CEO, Saving GM From a Meltdown

At 52, Rick Wagoner doesn't have time for coffee; he's counting on Cadillac, Pontiac, and Saturn to bring back the car giant with their two-seater roadsters. The Pontiac Solstice, the Cadillac DTS and the Saturn Sky. GM still runs a distant third to Toyota and Honda and "credibility" is the key word consumers are wanting. In the past GM made too many promises about quality, performance, and durability which didn't cut it with consumers. Now he's beefing up "technology leadership" as the latest buzzword around GM and time will tell if GM has it right this time (Fortune, 9/19/05)
