CEOs Dropping Like Flies

It's no surprise that CEOs are on the chopping block--witness, Krispie Kreme, Office Max, World.com (now MCI). Typically Directors and Officers (D&O) insurance covered torts by CEOs and Directors, but with the World.com suit last month against Directors individually and corporately, directors are running scared. One un-named source indicated in the latest issue of Fortune that we have enough on our plate running our own businesses to worry about someone else's business. Expect to see many CEOs take early retirement this year.

Small Business Locations

The primary location for small businesses is away from home (72%) versus at home (28%); the number of small business locations for small firms is one business site (78%), two sites (14%), and 3 plus sites (8%), according to WSJ.
