Bringing his experience straight to your business
Keith has been in the trenches for 30 years. He has worked with large, state-run organizations with one billion dollars operating budgets, managed lots of folks, and been on the firing line politically and accountable to Boards of Directors, legislatures, and governors' offices. He has also been a small-business owner, having developed, owned, and managed two successful start-up companies, one of which was successfully sold in a friendly acquisition.
The benefits of a "shirt-sleeve" style executive coach
Keith knows what it's like to be alone at two in the morning with a payroll to meet the next day, preparing for financial and program audits, motivating staff, and practicing "shirt-sleeve" management -- i.e. walking with your front-line staff who deliver the product or service. Keith is not an "academic" coach with platitudes and easy fixes. He's got the practical know-how on what it takes to run a business, whether it be a coaching practice, ice cream shop, or large corporation. The skill sets are the same: leadership, integrity, sacrifice, mentoring, providing a safe environment for your employees, and being open to new ideas.
What clients are most interested in is charting a course, developing an idea, bringing an idea to reality, managing people, improving skill sets, staying on top of the latest marketing and branding trends, and creating a safe (non-competitive) climate of creativity.
You have the skill; you just need accountability.
Most business owners have the skills but lack the motivation and courage to "step out" and run their own business. Keith is ready to become your accountability partner, with you 24-7 and accessible by email, fax, or phone. It's not that you are purchasing a contact hour, but rather gaining a non-fiduciary partner with no vested interest in your business, except to see you succeed. Keith can't make you successful, but he can help you create your own opportunities for success and to minimize those environmental obstacles in your path.
